The average price of a home sold in Middlesex County for the month of June 2018 was $444,824. The current June figures show that there has been a steady increase in sale prices over the past year, which means it’s a great time to sell!
A total of 122 homes were brought onto the market in June 2018, 86 of which were sold. This is a 17.8% increase in sales compared to June 2017, as well as a 26.5% increase from June five years ago. Those 86 sales resulted in just over a 70% ratio of sales to new listings. This percentage means that approximately 7 out of 10 homes that were listed in June sold within the month. Those sales equated to a total value of $38,254,824, which is up almost 25% over the total sales value last June, and an incredible 71% improvement from June 2013.
Although approximately 30% of homes did not sell within the month they were listed, the resulting overall average for days on the market was 2.2 months, which is relatively low overall! Through June, there were 185 active listings on the market in Middlesex County.
As I previously noted, it’s a great time to sell a house in Middlesex County, but it’s also a great time to buy!
